Casablanca Express (1988) Trylon Director: Sergio Martino Screenplay: Ernesto Gastaldi, Roberto Leoni Cast: Glenn Ford (General Williams), Jason Connery, Francesco Quinn, Donald Pleasance, Jean Sorel, An Italian cheap WW2 flick with the sons of famous actors in the leads is ultra lame and supremely boring. Ford is there for the money and it shows.
Final Verdict(1991)TV Director: Jack Fisk Screenplay: Lawrence Roman from a novel by Adela Rogers St John Cast: Glenn Ford (Reverend Rogers), Treat Williams, Olivia Burnette, Ashley Crow, Touching formula movie with a good cast about an honest lawyer whose principles have been instilled by his father (GF) who works on two cases with help of daughter. Finally a TV movie that is watchable. Red Riding Hood (1987) Director: Adam Brooks Cast: Glenn Ford, Ernest Borgnine, Diane Brewster, Julian Chagrin, Isabella Rossellini. The children tale filmed for Cannon Movie Tales is star studded and glossy. Our Hollywood Education(1992) A very interesting documentary on art and business in films and their influence on the choice of type of production. Ford appears in clips and interviews. It is the last recorded appearence of a great but overlooked actor. | |
Border Shootout(1990) Director: Chris McIntyre Screenplay:Chris McIntyre from a novel by Elinore Leonard Cast: Glenn Ford (sheriff John Donaher), Michael Forrest, Cody Glenn, Michael Horse,Charlene Tilton, The plot is promising: a naive rancher is made deputy in an Arizona border town that is fed up with aging sheriff (GF). Ford was probably tired to stay home and accepted the role and walked through it,but still is the best thing of the movie, a real pain to watch. Raw Nerve (1991) Director: David A Prior Screenplay:David A. Prior & Lawrence L. Simeone Cast: Glenn Ford ( Capt.Gavin), Ted Prior, Sandahl Bergman, Traci Lord, A race car driver has visions of murders and when the police does not believe him he sets out to investigate himself with the help of beautiful neighbor. It is Ford last film to date (that I know of) and a poor choice that probably convinced him to stay away from the screen. He was 75 and did not need such junk. Circus of the Stars # 12 (1987) TV With Delta Burke, Cesar Romero and Merv Griffin as ringmasters, Glenn Ford, now 71, decided to get in contact with the public after a six years iatus and is among the guests.
