Ford is there to offer his shoulder in an understated but solid performance. Eileen Farrell dubbed Parker's vocals.

Glenn Ford, Sidney Poitier The original 1950s classic about a decent middle aged school teacher who goes to teach in an unruly high school filled with thughs led by Vic Morrow and Poitier.
The film is as actual today as it was about fifty years ago.
It was nominated in four categories, Best screenplay, Editing, Cinematography and Art direction, but bypassed for the major nominations.
The cast was uniformly exceptional and GF and Sidney Poitier gave real award-deserving performances.

John Hodiak, Glenn Ford Intelligent but cold filming of Don Mankiewicz's Courtroom novel about a Mexican boy accused of murder and cynically used by a crypto-Communist (Kennedy)to inflame racial hatred. GF is the patsy Kennedy hires to act for the defence. The film is now dated, but the actors still offer good performances. Another credible and able character in Ford's gallery.
